Heroes of the Storm
In the years since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita tore through the Gulf Coast, countless people and organizations have pulled together to help the citizens of Louisiana rebuild their lives and communities.
In order to honor them for their tireless work, FONO, with the support of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) and Unified Nonprofits of Greater New Orleans, has established the ‘Heroes of the Storm’ campaign. The ‘Heroes’ will be selected and announced each month leading up to the national political conventions, where they will all be recognized at events FONO is planning during that time in Denver and Minneapolis.
If you would like to nominate an organization to be a Hero of the Storm, mail completed forms to heroes@friendsofneworleans.org. Nomination forms are available here.
